My African Grey and my Jardine’s parrot love it. They have not destroyed it, and they are fascinated by the shape & texture, even when I have not put almonds inside. I understand some birds may destroy it. Some birds destroy everything, no toy is immune to this. It’s the nature of a parrot to chew.

I have an umbrella cockatoo and he just loves it when I put almonds in his NutCase. It took him about 6 months to destroy the first one and has had the second one for over a year. I think this is an awesome toy for foraging skills, however, I think my bird has gotten the hang of getting the almonds out and can clean it out in a matter of minutes.

Making toys that stimulate a bird’s natural foraging is great, but this one only lasted about two days. It is a great idea, but my Cockatoo chewed it up in a few hours. He does better with the lucite toys that can’t be destroyed. This one might work for birds that are not as ferocious with their beaks, but not for the bigger ones?

I purchased several of these and my black headed caique parrots go
bananas whenever you insert some peanuts inside. It’s acts like
catnip and it is much fun to watch their playfulness.
